The project focuses on upgrading insulation systems to ensure the vessel’s safe and efficient operation in the demanding conditions of the North Sea, where protection against low temperatures and high winds is essential.\n\nDuring this stage, our team of tinsmiths and workshop technicians manufactured specialized insulation components based on the precise technical drawings collected during the Dubai surveying phase. This direct link between measurement and production ensured that all elements were built to the exact specifications of the FPSO's existing infrastructure. By maintaining this continuity, we minimize the risk of fitment issues during the final offshore installation.\n\nA key part of the work involved the prefabrication of removable insulation boxes compliant with the NORSOK M-004 standard. Specifically, our team produced Class IV insulation boxes designed to protect the installation from freezing, heavy rainfall, and internal condensation. These removable systems allow for easy access during future maintenance while providing a robust barrier against the North Sea’s corrosive and volatile environment.\n\nWith the prefabrication in Stord now complete, the components are being prepared for transport to the final location.
