# **Celebration of Njord A and the Sea Trail**

It is with great pride and joy that we were part of renovation project of the Njord A platform. Today, Njord A is finally completed and is now ready for its next phase of operations, which will include a sea trial before it returns to its normal duties in the Norwegian Sea.

This has been a massive project, with construction and prefabrication taking place at Aker Solutions yards at Stord and Verdal. SEC Norge AS, among other suppliers, was part of this journey since 2017. A refurbishment and conversion project of this size and complexity is no easy feat, especially amidst a pandemic where sanitary regimes are of utmost importance. We are proud that we were able to carry out the project together as a team. Our staff have demonstrated true professionalism and dedication over the years, especially during the last two most difficult years. We are truly grateful for their hard work and commitment.

Over the course of the five-year Njord A Future project, SEC Norge has supplied more than 300 professionals from various disciplines, including thermal insulation, scaffolding, and welding. These include skilled thermal insulation and insulation prefabrication operators, insulation work preparation personnel, insulation shift leaders and foremen, insulation survey and box measurement specialists, as well as QC inspectors and engineers. We have also supplied scaffolding fitters and foremen, TIG/FCAW welders, piping and structural and fitters, foreman and shift leaders. That is why we are just as happy that our staff will also be able to participate in the sea trial phase.

After the sea trial, the Njord A platform will be ready for another 20 years of safe and efficient operation. And will return to its original location in the Norwegian Sea, about 150 km west of Kristiansund where was operating since 1997.
